Membership

At the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (RSCDS), San Diego Branch, we welcome all dancers as members, regardless of age or ability. While anyone is welcome at our classes and our events, you may wish to become a member of the group. Members support Scottish Country Dancing worldwide, become part of the local dancing community and may to take advantage of member discounts.

2024-25 Membership

Download and complete the membership form (PDF, click here). Fill in the electronic form and save it to your computer; or print, fill and scan the form. Email to membership@rscds-sandiego.org. Printed forms may also be returned by postal mail or given to your teacher. Our mailing address is: RSCDS San Diego, PO Box 33044, San Diego, CA 92163.

Payments may be returned with your form (cash or check), or pay online. You may pay online through our PayPal or Venmo links (include a note with the transaction!), or through our WEB SHOP (RSCDS SD Web Shop).

Half-year Membership

From December to April, dancers who have never been members of the RSCDS may sign up for a reduced-rate, half-year membership. Download the half-year membership form (PDF, click here), complete the form and return it to your teacher (or follow the instructions above.)

Membership Benefits

It pays to be a member of the RSCDS San Diego Branch! Not only does this help support dancing at the local level, if you are dancing regularly, the member discount for classes and events adds up. Full membership is open to any dancer, and is good for one year (June to May). Two dancers in the same household (joint membership) receive a discount. Additionally, dancers new to RSCDS are eligible for a special half-year membership, which begins in December and runs through the end of May. Associate members, who hold membership with another RSCDS branch, are also welcome to join.

Membership in the local branch includes membership to the RSCDS Headquarters in Scotland. This makes you a member of the larger community and includes a subscription to the bi-annual Scottish Country Dancer magazine, delivered to your door, as well as e-newsletters and quarterly magazines to members.
