Dancing for Weddings and Events

Holding an event where participants haven't taken classes? There is a special form called a "Ceilidh Dance" (pronounced Kay-Lee), where dancers don't need any prior experience. If you're interested in hiring an instructor to have Scottish Country Dancing at your own party or wedding, see our Ceilidh Dancing for Weddings and Events Page.

Strathspey Server

The Strathspey Server is an amazing resource for Scottish country dancers. It features a huge database of dances, including music, videos, and and instructions. It also has links to mailing lists, historical information, and links to additional websites of interest.

Inter-city Scot

The Inter-city Scot website provides links to Scottish country dance groups and events throughout the United States and Canada, including upcoming dances and classes.

MiniCrib

The MiniCrib website houses dance brief notes (cribs) for over 4,600 dances and is a great resource for creating dance briefs for dances or other events.
